Published anti-doping rulings against UFC athletes from USADA and Combat Sports Anti-Doping, including the substance involved and the period of ineligibility served.
These are disciplinary findings under the UFC Anti-Doping Policy. They are distinct from the routine post-fight medical suspensions listed elsewhere in this section, which imply no wrongdoing.
This page reproduces publicly reported regulatory and medical-administrative records. Every entry names the body that issued it. Anti-doping testing entries are counts of publicly reported test sessions and are not pass/fail results — a test session is not a positive test. Records are reproduced as published and are not medical advice.
Oezdemir tested positive for erythropoietin (EPO), a Prohibited Substance in the class of Peptide Hormones, Growth Factors, Related Substances, and Mimetics of the UFC Prohibited List. EPO was detected in both urine and blood samples collected out-of-competition from Oezdemir on February 16, 2026, and March 5, 2026, in Le Mouret, Switzerland. Oezdemir provided extensive cooperation to both Combat Sports Anti-Doping (CSAD) and Swiss law enforcement authorities. This cooperation included evidence that Oezdemir was contacted unsolicited by a local pharmacist, who convinced him that he could improve his performance with the use of EPO and that the UFC Anti-Doping Program would not be able to detect it. After considering all of the evidence, including that Oezdemir did not seek out EPO and the level of transparency that Oezdemir demonstrated throughout the investigation, CSAD determined that a reduced sanction of sixteen (16)-months was appropriate.
Bassil Hafez tested positive for ipamorelin, a prohibited peptide hormone in the Peptide Hormones, Growth Factors, Related Substances, and Mimetics category of the UFC Prohibited List. The prohibited substance was detected in an out-of-competition sample collected from Hafez on March 20, 2026, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
During CSAD’s investigation, Hafez provided full and complete cooperation as defined under the UFC ADP. His cooperation included identifying and introducing CSAD to a wellness clinic he had used to obtain substances he believed were permitted for injury recovery purposes. Hafez has not competed since November 2024 due to injury and did not have a bout scheduled at the time the sample was collected.
Evidence gathered during the investigation indicated that, although Hafez claimed he was unaware that a product provided to him by the wellness clinic contained ipamorelin, he acted with gross negligence by consuming the product without conducting adequate due diligence regarding its ingredients and their prohibited status.
Idiris tested positive for the presence of hydrochlorothiazide, a prohibited at all times diuretic in the Diuretics and Masking Agents class of the UFC Prohibited List, from an in-competition sample collected on February 21, 2026, in Houston, Texas, surrounding the UFC Fight Night card in said location. Idiris was victorious in his fight that night against Ode Osborne.
Upon notification of this adverse finding, Idiris has been fully cooperative with CSAD. Idiris provided information that he took a product that contained hydrochlorothiazide on Thursday of fight week to help him make the contracted weight on Friday, February 20, 2026, at the event’s official weigh in. Although Idiris has been fully cooperative with CSAD, CSAD is not suspending or reducing any period of his ineligibility due to the seriousness of knowingly using a diuretic during fight week and the advantage that he received in making his contracted weight. Idiris’s suspension began on February 21, 2026, the day he provided his adverse, in-competition biological sample. His suspension will terminate on February 21, 2027.
Additionally, the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations (TDLR), who regulated Idiris’ fight on February 21, 2026, where he tested positive in-competition, also retains jurisdiction over this matter and will separately adjudicate Idiris’ adverse finding under TDLR rules. Because hydrochlorothiazide is also a prohibited substance under TDLR rules, TDLR will be responsible for amending the result of Idiris’ fight against Osborne. CSAD has provided all relevant information concerning this case to TDLR.
Lucindo Bezerra tested positive for the presence of mesterolone, a prohibited-at-all-times substance in the class of Anabolic Agents on the UFC Prohibited List, from an out-of-competition sample collected on September 24, 2025, in Feira de Santana, Brazil. Upon notification of this adverse analytical finding from the laboratory, the UFC
immediately removed Lucindo Bezerra from her scheduled bout on December 13, 2025, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Throughout CSAD’s investigation, the evidence collected indicated that Lucindo Bezerra did not intentionally use mesterolone to gain a performance advantage. She cooperated fully with CSAD’s investigation, including submitting to a detailed interview and providing official government documentation from a Brazilian pharmacy where she obtained compounded dietary supplements prior to the adverse finding. The documentation indicated that the pharmacy regularly compounded products containing mesterolone and could not rule out the possibility that legal dietary supplements provided to Lucindo Bezerra may have been inadvertently contaminated with mesterolone.
Usman tested positive for the presence of testosterone, a prohibited at all times substance in the class of Anabolic Agents on the UFC prohibited list, from an out of competition sample collected from him on September 8, 2025, in Coral Springs, Florida, USA. Usman was previously removed from his scheduled bout in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in October of last year due to the return of this positive test days before the event. Usman ultimately admitted to CSAD to the use of testosterone leading up to the Rio event, as well as the previous use of testosterone and the prohibited at all times peptide, BPC-157, earlier in 2025.
McGregor missed three attempted biological sample collections within a 12-month period in 2024, which constitutes a violation of the UFC ADP. UFC athletes are required to provide accurate whereabouts information at all times, so they can be contacted and submit to biological sample collections without prior warning. McGregor’s missed tests occurred on June 13, September 19, and September 20, 2024, and were each classified as Whereabouts Failures by CSAD under the UFC ADP.
Temirov tested positive for the presence of Trimetazidine (TMZ), a drug used to treat heart failure and other cardiac conditions, in the class of hormone and metabolic modulators under the UFC ADP prohibited list. TMZ is prohibited at all times under the UFC ADP and was present in samples collected out-of-competition from Temirov on June 12, 2025, in Phuket, Thailand, and out-of-competition on July 4, 2025, also in Phuket, Thailand. Because Temirov was not notified of the June 12, 2025, adverse finding for TMZ until AFTER the collection on July 4, 2025, both adverse findings are combined into one violation under the UFC ADP rules.
Moroz tested positive for meldonium, a prohibited at all times substances in the class of Hormones and Metabolic Modulators on the UFC Prohibited List, from out of competition samples collected from her in Boca Raton, Florida, on June 25, 2025, and July 16, 2025. Because Moroz had not been notified of the first adverse sample at the time of the second sample collection on July 16, 2025, both adverse findings are considered a single violation under the UFC ADP.
Hines tested positive for the presence of the anabolic steroids Drostanolone, its metabolite, 3a-Hydroxy-2a-methyl-5a-androstan-17-one and testosterone metabolites, as well as a metabolite of Tamoxifen, 3-Hydroxy-4-methooxytamoxifen, a hormone and metabolic modulator. All of these substances are prohibited at all times under the UFC Anti-Doping Program and were present in samples collected out-of-competition from Hines on June 20, 2025, in Superior, Minnesota, in-competition on June 28, 2025, in Las Vegas, Nevada, and out-of-competition on July 5, 2025, in Grand Rapids, Minnesota. The evidence in this case reflected that Hines consumed these substances BEFORE he was signed to the UFC, however, he knowingly failed to disclose their use when his onboarding into the UFC Anti-Doping Program was completed on June 16, 2025.
Silva de Andrade tested positive for the presence of furosemide, a prohibited at all times substance in the class of diuretics and masking agents on the UFC Prohibited List, from an out of competition sample collected from him on February 14, 2025, in Belem, Brazil. Upon notification of this result from the laboratory to CSAD, Silva de Andrade was removed from his upcoming scheduled bout immediately after making his contracted weight on February 28, 2025, in Las Vegas, NV.
De Lima tested positive for the presence of Anastrozole, a prohibited at all times substance in the class of Hormone and Metabolic Modulators on the UFC Prohibited List from an out of competition sample collected from him on January 13, 2025. De Lima submitted extensive medical documentation confirming a medical condition which necessitated the prescribed treatment of anastrozole. Anastrozole was clearly listed on the label’s listed ingredient of the prescribed, compounded substance that he consumed. However, De Lima neither checked on the prohibited status himself of the prescription before using it, nor contacted anyone within the UFC Anti-Doping Compliance Team for help to check the status of the prescription. Additionally, this is De Lima’s second violation under the UFC ADP, the first arising from a contaminated supplement he received and consumed from a compounding pharmacy in Brazil in 2017. Of importance in this case, his 2017 violation was also for the presence of Anastrozole in his system.
Murzakanov tested positive for the low-level presence of a metabolite of LGD 4033, a prohibited at all times substance in the class of anabolic agents on the UFC Prohibited List, from an out of competition sample collected from him on October 8, 2024. A sealed bottle of a purported dietary supplement that Murzakanov used leading up to this sample provision was procured and sent to the UFC ADP’s testing laboratory, Sports Medicine and Research Testing Laboratory (SMRTL), in Salt Lake City, Utah, for analysis. The analysis found a low-level presence of LGD-4033 in the sealed supplement, despite not being listed on its labeled ingredients. SMRTL advised CSAD that the low level of LGD-4033 contaminant in the sealed supplement, as well as the low level of LGD-4033 metabolite in Murzakanov’s sample, would not provide any significant performance advantage.

Pajuelo-Revilla tested positive for the presence of 19-norandrosterone and Isotope Ratio Mass Spectrometry (IRMS) analysis that reflected values consistent with the exogenous origin of testosterone and its metabolites, both anabolic steroids that are prohibited at all times, in a urine sample that was collected out of competition on August 5, 2024, in Lima, Peru. A subsequent sample collected from Pajuelo-Revilla on August 21, 2024, in Sao Paulo, Brazil, also tested positive for 19-norandrosterone and IRMS analysis consistent with the exogenous origin of testosterone. Pajuelo-Revilla admitted the use of deca-durabolin (nandrolone) leading up to these sample collections.
Abdelwahab tested positive for values consistent with the administration of testosterone of exogenous origin in multiple urine samples collected by Drug Free Sport International (DFSI) in April and May of 2024. The source of the positive samples was traced to a dietary supplement Abdelwahab purchased from a major big box retailer in the United States. The supplement was not 3rd party tested and certified by one of the UFC Anti-Doping Program’s approved certification companies like all UFC athletes are educated.
Alekseeva tested positive for values consistent with the administration of testosterone of exogenous origin in a urine sample collected by the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) on June 21, 2023, while USADA was still the independent administrator of the UFC’s Anti-Doping Program (UFC ADP). However, USADA failed to report the results of this sample to her and to UFC until October 31, 2023, more than four (4) months after the sample was collected and AFTER Alekseeva was allowed to compete in a UFC event in Las Vegas, Nevada, on October 14, 2023.
Khalil Rountree self-reported the mistaken use of a dietary supplement that contained DHEA which resulted in a positive test for the presence of exogenous DHEA metabolites in a sample collected by Drug Free Sport International on May 4, 2024.
Khusein Askhabov tested positive for the presence of Dianabol (D-Bol) metabolites in a sample collected by Drug Free Sport International on February 6, 2024.
